When your website is often the first place potential clients encounter your therapy practice, it needs to do more than simply exist; it should build trust, provide the information potential clients need, and make taking that next step feel easy.
That was exactly the goal for this project. Alana, a relationship & sex therapist, reached out to me for help with moving her website from Weebly to Showit and doing a total website refresh. Alana’s old website was pretty text heavy with poor scanability and a simple design that she struggled to edit due to the limited customisation capabilities of Weebly, resulting in a website that wasn’t really great for user experience, and she felt wasn’t professional.
She had gotten tired of struggling to customise her website on Weebly and needed help migrating from Weebly to a platform with more customisation capabilities, and Showit was the answer.
The Vision
Alana wanted a website that;
- Accurately reflects the brand and business she had built over the years
- Looks professional and is a great experience for her target audience
- Would be easy to update in the future, so she wouldn’t feel so daunted by the prospect of making little changes to her website.
The Transformation
Rather than building a completely custom website from the ground up, we customised a Showit template to perfectly match her brand and business goals. This approach allowed us to create a bespoke website experience while significantly reducing the timeline and investment compared to a fully custom build.
The template was customised using her brand assets (fonts, colour palette, images) and website copy, moving sections around to create a better website flow & customer journey, and some custom pages, canvases and a drop-down sub-menu were also added as needed.

The Results
After the website launch, her VA mentioned that a lot more people are sending in inquiries through the contact form, more traffic is coming to the website, and people are staying for longer on the new website compared to the old one.
Her clients have also complimented the new website design, and she can now easily update her website easily (thanks to Showit’s drag and drop builder) and share her website with the world, now that she has a more professional website that properly reflects her expertise.
